Today, I would like to tell you a little word about my Mésanges print. Declined on a silk carré scarf, a lavalline and a bracelet, it draws its inspiration from childhood memories.
Chickadees, a little country story
Originally, this scarf Mésanges, for me, is the essence of the Jura in spring. I was born in this region, but I didn't grow up there: I went back there every summer and Christmas on vacation, imprinting the memories over the years.
I keep a very naive image of the Jura. I imagine large forests covered with moss, with sunlight streaming through the foliage. Unlike the scorching summers of Provence, my summers in the Jura are very fresh and full of life.
I drew this scarf as a nod to the great tit which is very present there. I imagined its song through the undergrowth, I saw it hopping from pebble to pebble in a mountain river, fluttering from a clearing full of watercress to a field covered with diaphanous flowers.
The very bright green of the oil paint, almost aggressive next to the watercolor liberty: I enjoyed mixing different drawing and painting techniques, just like the journey of this truant chickadee.
I wish you a beautiful day full of sweetness!
